Grey, gray and black...

to complain not, but
too wet and too hot. Sky blue -
oh where, our blue skies?

the dark clouds advance...
storm's herald: fluffy white tops,
cruel black bottoms

dull, grey, gray skies,
here all too often these days
but to reminisce...

^^ me like!
It reminds me of the often (seriously) rather poetic Japanese English that sometimes adorn stationary.

you mean Haiku? ^^

Cool poem, exactly fits the weird weather patterns in the days of late.

No, Bao, not Haiku, although Haiku is very pretty, too. I remember doing a Haiku project in grade 2.. ah, the good ol' days.

Although, I rather like the wet weather.
But, these past two days have been WAY too hot for my liking.

Ah, I'd rewrite that second line
"not enough wet, too hot" to suite my tastes!

but 'not enough wet too hot' is missing a syllable.

I like wet weather too Silph :) I love sleeping in a thunderstorm, hehe.
You're right Bao, it's missing a syllable, but I don't think you have to stick to the 'rules' :P

Haha...back in grade 2 eh? Whoa...I only learned about them ...much later than that! I already forgot most of what I learned about Haiku and poetry too, never really cared for it. I guess it mainly has to do with how it was taught to me.
But still, I like the poem too, although it kinda caught me by surprise when I first read it...I was like "what the?"
