Finally, good sound!

I finally got a pair of headphones to work with my laptop! :D It's a Sennheiser HD437. Sennheiser makes some of the best headphones in the world. This model is pretty crappy though, but at least it works with my stupid laptop! The next model in the line-up costs over $100 :(

A funny thing happened as well. At the Square One bus terminal, I was faced with the choice of waiting 15 minutes for the bus home, or walking home (which also takes over 20 minutes). I decided to walk home, and about 15 minutes later, the bus overtakes me. Then, after another 5 minutes or so, I see the bus stopped dead on the side of the road, F.O.R.D. style. So, I then overtake the bus! I felt like waving to the people on the bus, but... I thought the better of it :P

Mississauga Transit should seriously upgrade their some of their buses and make them come more frequently. I heard Vancouver has a convenient and reliable bus-based system (maybe because they have no subway system) with buses coming in 5 to 10-minute intervals. Still, the 30-minute waits in Mississauga don't compare with Richmond Hill's: today, I saw their schedule for route 85, and it had 1-hour intervals. What if you just missed the bus in the middle of January? Yikes!

What does F.O.R.D-style mean?

And yeah, one hour waits are terrible. Then again, I've gotten somewhat used to the waiting times in Mississauga; I wonder if people in Richmond Hill similarly gotten used to theirs.

5-10 minutes? That would rock! You would, like, not really need to drive a car, then!

In this case, F.O.R.D. = Found On Road Dead. There are other FORD jokes as well: Failed on Racing Day, F*cking Only Runs Downhill, et cetera :)

People in Richmond Hill really like their cars. In fact, there are so many cars in Toronto's northern suburbs that I usually get to work faster on my bike than by car or bus. It's the same in 'sauga though, right?

Yeah, every one of my friends that I know from R Hill has a car and drives now. But I dunno about the bike thing; my bike that I have is super old, and I basically still don't really know how to ride one properly anyways. :( But I'm pretty sure Mississauga's traffic isn't that bad, as long as you don't go during rush hour.

And I definitely agree that Mississauga Transit should improve their bus system. I mean, with the fare hike that happened like a couple years ago, it seems that service hasn't gotten any better. Of course, maybe I don't take the bus often enough to notice, but I'm just curious as to where all the extra money that we're paying for bus fare is going.

Yeah, public transit does have its drawbacks, but stil, it would be ideal for a place like the GTA have a much greater reliance on public transit than on private (private transit?). Anyways, I think that every family should have a car, - for family trips or what not - just not one for every person.

Personally, I really like taking the transit. I always have.

And as for the idea of the GTA becoming more transit friendly, that off course would do the environment a good dose of friendliness!

Yeah, walking with tons of groceries isn't fun at all :(
